Silver Christmas Ornament

Most people picture green and red during the Christmas season. There are some people who automatically picture sterling silver when there is any mention of the holiday season. I am one of those individuals who think in silvers and blues during this season. A silver Christmas ornament is the perfect addition to those who think like me.

I’m not sure where my fascination with blue lights and silver Christmas ornaments came about but I decided to use my unusual vision to decorate my entire house for the holiday season this year. We added blue lights outside and we are beginning to work on our holiday tree decorations.

The first thing we bought was a white tree to offset the blue lights. This will also make any silver Christmas ornament glow in the cool blues and chilling whites. I imagine and indoor winter wonderland filled with cool colors and unusual tones. The white tree was easy to find and even easier to decorate.

I collected one silver Christmas ornament after another on my shopping adventures. I was not disappointed by the selection and I was actually surprised by the detail and quality that was available in the stores as well as online. There are a lot of these ornaments on the market and they are pretty reasonably priced.

Many of us love the idea of personalized silver Christmas ornaments but I decided to invest in higher quality sterling and more detailed designs instead. I found that the personalized versions were not quite up to snuff. They were flat and tended to be simple and round; not much to write home about.

However there were a lot of intricate designs available that did not have the option of personalization. This was perfectly fine with me because I was getting a superior sterling silver Christmas ornament for about the same price of a silver plated flat version. I would prefer quality over a little note any day.

There were many surprises in the collection of decorative holiday items that I found. Most of these are three dimensional and full of great detailing. One Santa silver Christmas ornament is so finely detailed that you would swear that the artist added each hair in his beard individually.

I find that my cool blue and white tree is one of a kind. Now that it is filled with one silver Christmas ornament after another, it glows with a chill of holiday spirit. It make me want to grab a nice hot cup of cocoa.
